You try spelling Dyslexia!

Updated: May 29

Whoever decided on the English language must have been taking the piss.  Dyslexia is the hardest word to spell when you are dyslexic.  Fancy naming the disorder a name that those with the condition are going to struggle to spell out phonetically.

Try saying "lisp" if you have one. If you don't, hold your tongue and say it normally to get the full lisp experience. Once you wipe the spit from your chin, you'll feel the pain of those with a lisp. Surely when naming a speech impediment, we would have picked a collection of letters that didn't create a word that further ridicules those with the speech impediment we were trying to name.

I’m an activist and I’m about challenging the status quo and making things fair and equal.  I believe in justice for everyone. I live to make the world a better place.

What can I do about “Dyslexia” and “Lisp”?

I’ve written to our governor general, maybe His Excellency or his lively wife, Her Excellency can help.

Ignore the fact that I've asked Their Excellencies to take it up with the Queen and that the Queen is dead, I think it will make the response I receive even more thrilling.

...to be continued.
